Mind: Road to respect starts here

It all starts inside our brain where we form different beliefs and prejudice based on our past experience and surrounding environment which may not represent the true picture. We should be more open in understanding other person view and should not prejudice anyone. This will help in respecting others persons view point.
KeyLearning - By acquiring right knowledge and facts about the situation helps in avoiding prejudgment. One should look everyone with the neutral point.

Cultural Differences: Everyone of us is different

Respect is same everywhere but still meaning and viewing perspective can be different for everyone for e.g. Touching hairs of a person is a serious offense in Thailand but in India, we touch hair when someone touches our feet for blessings. Gifting watch in china is like gifting death but in India, we gift watches in Marriage and other auspicious occasions. Gifting someone umbrella having cuts at the different place is giving threat in China.
Key Learning - It is not always necessary what we think is correct. We should be open to cultural differences and should acquire more knowledge and skills about. The place peoples and should have the broader view of these difference.

Respect: is not tolerance

I always thought that if you are tolerating someone, it will reflect as respect for another person. Yet it is a wrong persecution, respect comes from deep within and no matter how much tolerating power you have one day it will fail. Follow the positive path toward engaging with others.
KeyLearning - Now that tolerance is not respecting, rather than tolerating a person. Steps need to be taken towards the positive active side of the road to respect. More efforts are required to engage with the person, develop trust and try to see their perspective also. Most of the situations can be avoided if we set aside our ego

Self Esteem: Respect yourself first

It is rightly said that if one cannot help self he cannot help others. We should have more friendly and warm opinion about ourselves. Self Esteem boosts morale and Increase performance in day to day challenges.
Key Learning - Working towards developing a positive attitude about ourselves and significantly changes your productivity and mood. It also increases one's confidence level.

Attitude: can be good or bad

We mostly use slang for attitude in the negative sense. Wearing attitude is something which is always looked down upon. 'Don't show me your attitude' is most commonly used the phrase to warn someone. Still, it is we who can decide which attitude we should wear good or Bad. Right attitude needs a support of knowledge and skills to develop
Key Learning - Developing an attitude is not bad if it is a good one. Attitude shows the willingness towards any scenario. Developing one's skill and knowledge can shatter wrong beliefs and help in attaining positive attitude. Many of us can have right skills and knowledge but without right attitude they are useless.

There are several other things which we gained in session like
1. Be cautious about your body language.
2. Greet and Praise others more often.
3. Try to engage yourself
4. Respect other's time, privacy, views etc
