SuperBlueBloodMoon: Nature's Miracle
Nature sometimes surprise you unexpectedly. NASA named as
today's lunar eclipse a lunar trifecta but what does it mean? It is the super
blue blood moon which happens during lunar eclipse. This happened after a long
time. The last time this rare event unfolded was around 1982. That combination won't happen again until
2028 and the other one in 2037.
Supermoon means when moon is at the near point to earth
at its orbit. Blue moon means second full moon in a single month. Blood moon
when earth’s shadow gets casted during the lunar eclipse. The Super Blue Blood
moon started between 5:18 PM and 6:21 PM. The western part of India saw the
celestial event from 6:21 PM to 7:37 PM.
I'm on standby during the #SuperBlueBloodMoon since I get my energy from the Sun. If I was taking pictures, this is what I would see! pic.twitter.com/hPXkBP5JRl— NASA Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (@LRO_NASA) January 31, 2018
You can go and watch lunar eclipse live at NASA Twitter

Um... @NASAEarth is throwing me shade and brrr… is it cold. Exactly how cold? That's what @LRO_NASA scientists are trying to figure out: https://t.co/vDyF5oVBb1 #SuperBlueBloodMoon https://t.co/JAhHRjgXZA— NASA Moon (@NASAMoon) January 31, 2018
LIVE NOW: #LunarEclipse2018! The Earth is directly between the Sun and Moon, making the lunar surface appear red. You can watch views of the #SuperBlueBloodMoon from multiple telescopes live online! Take a look: https://t.co/r6X6SoMfLn pic.twitter.com/TBtNOKd5Yw— NASA (@NASA) January 31, 2018
Do you know that lunar eclipse always occurs during full
moon night? A lunar eclipse occurs when the sun, Earth and moon line up
perfectly, casting Earth's shadow on the moon.
Why is it called a #SuperBlueBloodMoon?— NASA (@NASA) January 31, 2018

In India, the lunar eclipse has a significant
astrological impact as per the Hindu calendar. There are certain rituals practiced
during this day, which include skipping food or fasting, cooking food after
lunar eclipse, not going out of home, no new work is done during this day and
save expecting ladies to not to watch the event. It is believed that eating
foods during the lunar eclipse may have harmful effects on the body.

We may never be able to truly understand the working of
the nature but we can sure appreciate its beauty.
Hope we have many more such events to witness in our life
time.
Thanks for joining us for the #SuperBlueBloodMoon! The next appearance of this trio in the U.S. — a total lunar eclipse, a “supermoon” and a “blue moon” — will be Jan. 31, 2037.
