Sci-Fi Story Series Part 3 : Adventures of Sifar - The Ascend

Getting out of earth’s gravity is not easy. It requires lots of fuel, luck and precise calculations and of course money. Hind comes on board of Sifar. There was lots of hustling and bustling going on, after all it is the launch night. Groups of Ground crew checking for every possible calculation, gauges, equipment. From outward to inner workings of Sifar. Hive Mind Running every possible scenario on simulation with flight data and analyzing it so fast that humans cannot comprehend. Finding the optimum path, inclination, timing etc. for lift off.

10:49 PM Locker Room

Astronauts were getting ready to take positions for lift off and multiple Gs’ or G-Forces or gravitational forces they must face.

"These new suits are really incredible!" Jai said while putting it on.

"How so?" said Nia

"They gave us an added advantage to negate G forces which we will feel during our acceleration & deceleration." Smith pitched in, "The Cryothursters of Sifar are really bad ass. Gravity is not like the other forces. It is weakest of all the fundamental forces. But where there is mass, there is gravity. And where there is gravity there are G Forces."

"Yeah, it’s amazing. Consider this, gravitational force of whole earth cannot stop us to lift coin from the ground through a small magnet, but increase the mass, and gravity will start showing its true color. So much so that even light cannot escape from gravity of black hole. Even space-time gets warped." Jai speaks like encyclopedia. Jai is most nerdy of all group ready with all the data there is.

"Not to mention the super human strength suits will give us and acts as our exoskeleton and nuclear battery will last for long long time". Nia said to prove she has also read the manual and have training wearing them.

Each suit is programmed according to specific crew member physiology and are reprogrammable according to the requirement. Nanochips embedded in micro fibers meshes are quite durable.
Hind entered the room for final call.

"Hurry up!" Hind interjected.

"I I Captain" group said mechanically.

11:27 PM Sifar's Deck

Something is not right Hind thought. He knows Sifar inside out. His years of experience tells him when things are out of line. He cannot put his finger on it quiet. But the hidden expressions in Kuber's voice, recent flight simulations success rate makes thing too good to be true. If things are too good to be true, then they probably are. He reviewed the ship parameters once again, but everything looks normal.

"Damn it" Hind knocks on the wall. He should be cautious; these suits are recording his body vitals as well. He does not want to give away, not yet.

11:56 PM Mahasangh Headquarters

Base on Hive Mind flight simulations, Mahasangh decided the time of lift off to be 00:00 hours.

"How providential!" smiled Kuber sitting in his chamber looking at the launch pad.

His little gift to Sifar should work at specified coordinates in space. When his code will activate.

11:59 PM Sifar's Deck

"Everyone buckle up. And Good Luck!" Hind Shouted.

Sifar has electromagnetic chairs which hold them during the launch, are ergonomically comfortable and at the same time G-force data give real-time adjustment to the chairs' position, inclination and electromagnetic binding force intensity to keep crew from passing out.

To escape earth's gravity Sifar should achieve speed more than 11.2 KM/sec. Earlier spacecrafts took more than 2 minutes to reach 100kms, which is kind of upper bound of our atmosphere, and initial orbit of 300 to 500kms in around 8 minutes 30 seconds.

Sifar is faster than this, much faster, it can reach outer orbit in less than a minute. This is enough to crush crew during it’s acceleration.

With everyone viewing, Sifar lifted in air with blinding speed.
