Embedding Videos In MS Word

To make your document content rich, it is desirable to have multimedia in the document to support the write up. MS Word of MS Office suit provide one such feature to embed multimedia to your document. Today we will consider how to embed videos into the document file. There are two ways of achieving this. If you have net connectivity and a desk job then embedding online videos may be a good idea. However, if you travel a lot with no net connectivity offline videos are always available on your computer.
Let’s first take a look on how to embed online videos
Open a word document
Click on Insert in the tab bar
Click on Online Video in the ribbon
A new popup will open
Choose the best online option suitable to you and search for the online video
Provide link of the video if you have it.
Once the video is shortlisted
Select and Click insert
The video will be shown on the page
Resize video according to your need
Click play to verify video is playing correctly
Adjust different settings according to your preferences

You have successfully embedded the online video

Let’s now consider how to embed offline videos
Click on Insert in the tab bar
Click on Object in the ribbon
A new popup will open
Choose to create from file tab
Check link to file and display as icon to make the file object visible on the document
Browse for the required video to be embedded
Click ok
Double click the video icon
The video will be played in default application opener for videos
Adjust different settings according to your preferences

Well Done you have successfully embedded the offline video in your document
